Indoor Flag Ceremony
OPENING
(Have the scouts in corner of gym, ready holding the flags. During procession, US flag comes in front with Troop flag just behind and carried slightly lower. Flag stands should be carried by scout just behind flag and then placed in front of audience on either side of table. The US Flag is on the left, then Troop flag on the far right, based on the vantage point of audience.)
Leader: 'Color Guard, Attention!'
Leader: 'Audience, Please Rise!'
Leader: 'Scout Salute! Those not in uniform, please place your right hand over your heart.'
Leader: 'Color Guard, Forward March!'(wait for color guard to reach the front)
Leader: 'Color Guard, Halt!'
Leader: 'Color Guard, Post the Flag of Troop 3! '
Leader: 'Please recite the Pledge of Allegiance!'
Leader: 'TWO!'(Everyone drops salute)
Leader: 'Please join us in reciting the Lord’s Prayer!' (make the Sign of the Cross).
Leader: 'Color Guard, Post the Flag of the United States of America! '
Leader: 'Color Guard, Honor your Colors!'(Flag bearers salute the US flag)
Leader: "Audience, Please take your seats. Scouts please remain standing and join me in the Boy Scout Oath and Law."
Leader: 'Scout Sign!'(Everyone raises right hand making the Boy Scout sign)
Leader: 'Please recite the Boy Scout Oath!'
On my honor, I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
Leader: 'Please recite the Boy Scout Law!'
A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
Leader: 'TWO!' (Everyone drops Scout sign)
Leader: 'Color Guard, return to ranks!'(wait for flag bearers return to formation)
Leader: 'All, Please be seated!'
CLOSING
(Leader has the color guards start from the far corner of the gym. Notes: You can choose to have just 2 flag bearers, 2 or 3 scouts following, 2 in front and 2 behind, or any crisp formation depending on number of scouts in color guard. During retreat, US flag goes in front with Troop flag just behind and carried slightly lower. Scout just behind the flag carries the flag stand in procession.)
Option 1 (Used when marching to the flag):

Leader: 'Color Guard, Retrieve the Colors! '(wait for flag bearers to pick up their flags)
Leader: 'Color Guard, Forward March! '(wait until color guard reaches back corner of gym)
Leader: 'Color Guard, Halt! ' (color guards firmly hold the flags still until directed further).
Leader: 'TWO! '(Everyone drops salute.)
Leader: ‘Please join me in a closing prayer by reciting the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel’ (make the Sign of the Cross).
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.
Leader: 'Color Guard, Dismissed! '(Flag bearers should immediately put the flags away before starting to play with the other boys.)
Leader: 'Audience, Thank you for joining us. '
